JLS have reunited and are going on tour, returning to the stage as a group for the first time since they split up seven years ago.

Aston Merrygold, Oritse Williams, Marvin Humes and JB Gill will perform a string of gigs in November and December, with tickets set to go on sale next week.

The boy band announced the comeback in a video on Twitter, captioned: "IT'S TIME!! Our #BeatAgainTour is coming your way this Nov/Dec. We can't wait to be reunited with you all!"

Each member features in the short clip, as they discuss their plans to get back together in a group phone call before revealing the dates and venues for their upcoming concerts - while their hit song Beat Again plays.

Venues confirmed include Belfast's 3Arena and SSE Arena, the Manchester Arena, and London's O2 Arena.

Fans have been quick to express their excitement, with the announcement video amassing more than 4,500 retweets and more than 9,600 likes in little more than an hour.

People keen on buying tickets can register for pre-sale access before 18 February, before general sale gets under way three days later.

JLS enjoyed a successful five years before their break-up in 2013, having found fame on The X Factor in 2008 when they finished runners-up to winner Alexandra Burke.

They released four studio albums - their first, titled JLS, arrived in 2009, before Outta This World in 2010, Jukebox in 2011 and Evolution in 2012.

Beat Again was their debut single and most successful track, bagging them a BRIT Award and MOBO Award.

The comeback announcement comes less than a year after Williams was cleared of rape.

Jurors unanimously acquitted him in May 2019 and he received support from a number of other British music stars following the trial, which he said had been a "horrific" experience.

Williams was accused of attacking a woman in a hotel room following a solo concert in December 2016, but he said they had consensual sex.
