Cath's Dream Is Coming True...She's Off To Antarctica!

South Wales mum aims to become the first person from the UK to do the zero ice mile challenge at the bottom of the world.

Catherine Pendleton will start her two week journey this evening flying from London to Buenos Aires. She'll then take an internal flight to Ushuaia where she will train over the weekend.

On Monday she will board a 12 day cruise to the Antarctic - at some point during this Cath will do her challenge.

She only started training four years ago whilst recovering from a back injury and since then she's gone from strength to strength.

Cath is former armed forces and is a champion for the charity Care after Combat. She plans to do a fundraiser this year to help veterans who are suffering with poor mental health.
