Crews back at Clyne Common this morning.

The control room for Mid and West Wales and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service has told us it's experienced one of the busiest days this year.

Saturday and Sunday it took dozens of calls for incidents across the region.

Two grass fires in Gower resulted in over 30 calls from concerned motorists and residents.

Appliances from Gorseinon, Sketty and Llanelli attended an incident at Fairwood Common and a 4x4 from Reynoldston.

110 hectares were destroyed by flames.

Wildfire blowers, hose reel jets and beaters were used.

The police also put road closures in place whilst the incident was dealt with.

The stop message on that incident was at 1.00am this morning.

At around 5.52 am the control room was notified that a grass fire on Clyne Common had reignited.

The team from Sketty were in attendance. That was stopped just after 7.00 am.

Over the weekend teams from Pontarddulais, and Swansea Central attended a fire in the area -  with fire beaters used to control flames.
