Aberdulais Residents Rescued From Their Homes

Around 22 properties have been evacuated on Canal Side.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service started their rescue operation at around 4am on Sunday morning.

Residents have told us how the river has burst its banks and is flooding their homes.

The water is coming up through the sewers and is now up to the windows of Jules Stewart's property.

Jules runs a retreat for people with cancer and has another cottage which is used for those undergoing treatment for holidays. It has been damaged too.

Jules has recorded a video for us at The Wave and Swansea Sound to show the extent of the damage.

Jules has been told they will have to leave their house before the weather gets worse.
