It follows the discovery of a human foot near Bangor earlier this week
The bodies of two men found on an Anglesey beach on Friday morning have been identified.
Police say they and are not from the North Wales area.
Officers were called to the beach following the discovery at Malltraeth Bay at about 11:45am on Friday 9th February.
Police think it may be linked to the discovery of a human foot on a beach near Bangor on Wednesday.
The human remains found at Y Felinheli beach on are understood to be the right foot of a man.
Officers are currently treating the deaths as "unexplained" and say they are in the process of contacting their next of kin.
Circumstances surrounding the deaths are not yet known.
Detective Inspector Gerwyn Thomas at Caernarfon CID said; “ We have established the identities of the two men sadly found at 11.43am on the beach at Malltraeth on Anglesey and we are now in the process of contacting their next of kin.
“Neither of the men is from the North Wales area.”
“Their deaths are currently being treated as unexplained as we carry out our investigation to establish the circumstances.”
