Swansea parking changes and bridge closures from today

More work's taking place on massive transformation project

More major changes to Swansea's City Centre start today as work on a 135 million pound transformation project continues.

Contractors are set to start work on the whole of the project’s northern site, next to the Tesco Marina store.

It means that from today the footbridge over Oystermouth Road will be closed ahead of its removal.

There will also be  a reduction in the size of the temporary St Mary’s car park near St David’s car park.

The Council are offering cut-price parking for the St David’s multi-storey from today and a discounted Park and Ride service  after 09.30am.

The changes allow construction work to start on the new broad Golden Swan bridge for cyclists and pedestrians.

There's lots more information on the Swansea Council web pages and Twitter feed.
